CfP: 2020 PAMLA conference at Las Vegas, Nov 12-15

Sponsored by the University of Nevada, held at the Las Vegas Sahara Las Vegas Hotel.

The session title is “Diversity of French and Francophone cinema”, a successful session last year which we are trying to have as a permanent PAMLA session.

“For today media-savvy students, film is both a natural and a pedagogically appealing vehicle for learning about the history and culture of French-speaking regions in the world. The fascination with visual culture is the driving force of this session for which we invite presentations dealing with adaptations, remakes, the representation of history as well as themes of sexuality, autobiography, and immigration.”

Please send a short abstract in French or English along with your academic affiliation, brief bio, and A/V requirements to Catherine Montfort, Santa Clara University cmontfort@scu.edu by May 1st.
