Travel

By air:

There are many easy and direct flights to Blue Grass Airport from the major international hubs: Cincinnati, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia, Charlotte, etc.

Once you arrive at the airport, you can take a taxi to the Hilton Lexington/Downtown. It's a 10-minute trip and costs around $12.00. There is a hotel shuttle that runs regularly between the Hilton Lexington/Downtown and Blue Grass Airport. You can call the hotel when you arrive at the airport (there is a bank of hotel phones near baggage claim) to have the shuttle sent to you.

By car:

Lexington is about 70 miles from both Cincinnati and Louisville. If you choose to fly to either of those cities rather than to Blue Grass Airport, you will need to rent a car (there is unfortunately no good public transportation from either city) to drive to Lexington. The drive from either city typically takes about one and a half hours.

Driving directions: Lexington is conveniently situated at the meeting of I-64 and I-75. I-64 runs east-west; I-75 runs north-south. Just outside of Lexington, I-64 and I-75 merge to become one interstate for several miles (I-64/75; see map 1 below). Take exit 113 off of I-64/75 and turn right at the bottom of the ramp (from either direction). You will be turning onto Rt. 27/68, which will become N. Broadway Ave. Take Broadway about 3 miles into downtown Lexington. At Main St. (a one-way street), turn right and immediately bear left around the park/fountain (see Map 2 below). At this point, you will be on Vine St. (another one-way street going the other direction) and you will cross Broadway. The Hilton Lexington/Downtown will be immediately on your left, on the corner of Broadway and Vine. The hotel parking lot is on your left just after you cross Broadway.
