Assistant Professor of French  The Department of Modern Languages at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of French to begin August 2015. Area of specialization is open to all subfields of literature and linguistics except medieval and 20th/21st-century studies. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in French at the time of appointment, possess native or near-native fluency in French and English, and demonstrate excellence in scholarship and teaching. Duties include building a strong publication record, teaching French courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervising the French basic language program, advising and mentoring students, and participating actively in departmental and university service.
