Lyon College invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Romance Languages beginning fall 2015. The teaching load is seven courses per academic year and will include all levels of French as well as elementary Spanish. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in French or Comparative Literature, native or near-native fluency in French, and experience teaching at the college level. Teaching excellence and a commitment to student mentoring and college service are essential. An active program of scholarship is expected. Experience at a liberal arts college desired. 

Salary is competitive and commensurate with rank.
